Introduction to Walt Disney Elementary School's

Technology Program

Elementary students use technology within the basic curriculum to improve learning.

Scroll down to see charts with description of technology in curriculum.

The area of growth that has been most impressive at Disney
has been in Language Arts. This past year Disney School improved
overall 8 NCE. Technology definitely has played
a part in overall language improvement.

When curriculum is organized by concepts,
language arts skills and technology skills clearly taught,
important process skills are developed that transfer
to all important learning tasks needed for life.

There is a planning process involved to help students reach these
important process skills.
Teachers must start with concepts,
identify essential understandings from standards,
develop guided questions,
and then implement instruction so that students
apply both content knowledge and important process skills.
