content and creative writing, editing, and beginning research is emphasized.

Technology skills including keyboarding, formatting, use of pictures,

and storyboarding overlay more advanced writing skills.

Another important set of writing skills that 
are developed is 
the creation of fables. 
Students create several rough drafts 
before word processing their final draft. 
Depending on the student, 
this draft will then be formatted 
into HyperStudio with illustrations.
