Emersons mission is consistent with that of the National PTA. Our unit stands out for its enthusiastic volunteers who give countless hours promoting the welfare of children in the home, school and community. We encourage parents to develop skills needed to raise and protect their children. We offer evening speakers to implement what the children are learning. We are proud to be in support of the literacy program at Emerson with such programs as a community read-in that ties in with schools-to career, and Saturday night live for fourth and fifth graders that encourages the joy of reading. We continue to strive to raise the standards of all children at Emerson. |
