Dear Reader, Welcome to Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School! Stevenson is a wonderful K-5 school located in a residential area of Burbank. We have approximately 500 terrific students who are the "pirates." Our motto is "Knowledge is Our Treasure."

Stevenson is a California Distinguished School. It is recognized as having a superior educational program that not only equips students will strong academic skills, but also fosters interpersonal skills that allows students to become responsible citizens.
Our vision for students includes the following goals:

1. Achieve literacy by 3rd grade.
2. Compute, apply, and problem-solve in math.
3. Be actively engaged in a challenging and integrated science curriculum.
4. Learn to think critically and prepare for participation in a democratic society.
5. Expand their creative potential and value the arts.
6. Participate in physical education activities that emphasizes fitness and a positive self-image.
7. Have access to and use technology that supports and enhances the core curriculum.

At Stevenson we are committed to deliver a quality educational program to all student groups enrolled in our school. The entire community is involved in this effort. The parents support the teachers and the needs of this school in a multitude of ways. There are several business partnerships that also support the needs of the school. We are proud of the close relationships that exits between the staff, parents, students and the surrounding community. This bond between all stakeholders makes the school the best it can be!
