I Am Anne
I am Anne
I hear the terror-filled screams of
those who are suffering
I see grief and anguish on the faces
of my loved ones
I say everything, but only to my
diary
I cry for the deaths of people
everywhere
I am the only ray of light in a
world of darkness
I am trapped like a bird in a
cage
I want to live my life without
fear
I need the freedom that all
children deserve
I hope for it all to be over
tomorrow
I feat it will last for the rest of
my days
I am the only leaf on a tree once
green
I am alive, though dying
inside
I feel like my heart is being
squeezed in a vice
I try to go on, but it gets harder
everyday
I wonder if I will ever smile
again
I dream of the days when I played in
the sun
I am Anne
