| Ms. Traci Fellman Teacher of the Year |
Our teacher
of the year for 98-99 is Ms. Traci Fellman, a teacher of English who has taught
at Luther Burbank since 1994. During her career she has taught grades 6-12 in a
variety of subjects including general English, English Language Development,
Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English*, GATE, Public Speaking, and
Leadership. She has also taught summer school and tutored individual students
in the area of reading. Ms. Fellman has made many professional contributions in the course of her service in Burbank which include: College Readiness Program Coordinator, School Site Council Member, Leadership Team Member, Faculty Chairperson, District Bilingual Advisory Committee (now English Language Learners Advisory) Member, California Junior Scholarship Federation Coordinator, as well as serving as one of five SB 1969 Facilitators to train BUSD's secondary teachers in *SDAIE teaching techniques. |
