EXPECTED SCHOOLWIDE LEARNING RESULTS John Burroughs High School Students should: Be able to communicate effectively using a variety of media. Exhibit academic skills and use the processes learned to solve problems. Use the higher order thinking skills of application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation in their daily work. Use technology to access, organize, evaluate and communicate information. Show creativity, originality, resourcefulness, and ingenuity in their daily work. Develop a road map for high school and beyond leading to a career. Display an understanding of basic living skills. Be a contributing member of a community. Be personally responsible and honest, show respect for others. Required Proficiency Tests: Reading, Written Language, and Math Homework Homework may be assigned daily in each subject. All students need to complete homework as assigned. Completion of homework is a vital component in course advancement.
